The Battle of the Books team wins top honors for the City of Hampton!
Battle of the Books City-Wide Competition was March 15. Six Middle Schools had teams: Phenix, Eaton, Jones, Spratley, Davis, Syms. Spratley took First Place to be named the Hampton City Champions!! Regional Competition was March 17 in Williamsburg. Spratley placed in the Top 3 Teams so will move on to the Final Battle this Friday night March 23 in Williamsburg.

Carolyn Boothe placed first in the PTA Citizenship Essay project sponsored by the Virginia PTA. Read her winning essay on the Gallery page.

Taylor DeRossett (gr.7) has been published on Teen Ink. See details on the Gallery page.

Tyra Sadler (gr.7) has won 1st place in the division for the Hampton Parade Poster Contest.

Catherine Brignoni (gr.5, Phillips) was the elementary winner of the Coliseum Poster Contest. Ruth is an Excel art student in Ms. Davis' class. Visit the Art page to see her poster.
